By Taking Practical Steps To Get Rid of Brain Fog, You Can Have Clarity.
We can be so overwhelmed in life, but are we? Or is this what our mind is telling us? Is our mind filled with so much information that we cannot decipher or process it all?
If we are going in all directions and not knowing which way is up, we struggle, and the feelings of stress and being overwhelmed takes over. We feel we’ve lost control of our lives, and it doesn’t stop until we are determined to do something about it, or we decide to ask for help.
We all struggle from time to time when we have so much going on; we don’t know how to begin to prioritize and organize what we should be doing. Before you realize it, this stress can take its toll on your mind and eventually your body. But we need to start fixing our minds first so that we can take care of our bodies and everything else in our lives. We cannot be our true selves and will end up going through life living in a fog.
When you don't embrace the struggle and lean into it, and instead you try to run from it and pretend everything is fine, you are doing a great disservice to yourself. I know you want better life experiences, we all do, and you can. Once you have the strength to acknowledge you need help, the quicker you can have better life experiences.
Here are tips that I live by for myself and my clients to help you get to a place that gets rid of the fog in your mind so to allow energy, calm, and joy to flow through:
Fill Your Cup First. You have to be your number one priority. You cannot be productive or able to pour into others without making yourself a top priority first. No one can do it for you, only you. Carve out quiet time every single day, for just YOU!
Regular Self-Evaluations. Find a quiet time to self-reflect. Maybe you can find some extra time by getting up a little earlier in the mornings before everyone else gets out of bed or after everyone has gone to bed at night. As you begin to audit your life, ask yourself, “ How am I doing? Am I getting enough sleep? Am I drinking enough water? Am I taking on too many projects? Am I moving my body by exercising? What can I stop doing? What can I eliminate? “
Realize the Struggle Is For Everyone. The reality is, issues are typical, and everyone has bad days. Embrace that it’s okay to have bad days, and when you have a bad day take action to do what is BEST FOR YOU!
Do Something You Enjoy. Find an outlet that allows you to take your mind off all the crap and struggles. Be creative. Take up crocheting, take a cooking class, and try new foods, take-up painting, do yoga, do SOMETHING out of your usual daily grind!
Know Your Limits. Learn how to say “no.” Create some boundaries for yourself, limit your time on social media, your calendar, television, and your mind. Remember to carve out time for other things that bring value to your life.
Be in a Community. There are communities everywhere these days because we all need support from time to time. When we surround ourselves with people who we can relate to, it’s like a relief that we aren’t alone. It’s confirmation we can get through anything TOGETHER! Being in a community with like-minded people gives us hope and opportunity to be of service to others.
We all need help some times, and it’s important to humble ourselves and throw away our pride to ask for it. It helps to have someone else’s perspective and thoughts. People see things and experience things differently. We tell ourselves that it’s not so bad, and we try so hard to say to our friends, co-workers, and family that we are doing fine when in all actuality, we are not, we end up making more stress for ourselves. If we sit back and wait for things to happen or our situations to change, it won't, we have to take the first step to improve our minds.
Our mind is our health too, and we can’t fix other areas of our lives until we start with a clear one.
Have a wonderful day!
xoxo Pam
